I have used E-Sword practically since it came out, It is at least as good as Bible study software
costing hundreds of dollars. Some of the resources (those still under copyright) Do, but there are
more than enough modern and older translations, commentaries and dictionaries for in depth study
available for free both at the site, at the Yahoo users group, and various other on line locations.
The base software is "just Rick". But there is a very active user group on Yahoo that produces
modules that are excellent. Including interlinear translations with embedded Strong's numbers.
E-Sword is a very rich program that has assisted me in my ministerial duties.
The software,
though free, is far better than most of the big-dollar softwares in the market today. The e-Sword
producers have made it possible for indigent clergy and laymen alike to have access to very
enriching Bible Study materials that can greatly aid them in their life and ministry.
If you
are a Christian in search of a very good
and enriching Study materials, then I recommend to
you e-Sword.
it is wonderful software. But it needs some modification. There are no options to avoid viewing
several commentaries while reading Bible. The comments and dictionary indicators are so many that
making it unattractive.
This is an absolutly awesome free program for Bible study!
The program puts an
incredible wealth of information at the users fingers tips. Bibles, Dictionaries, Commentaries,
Graphics and Maps, and volumes of information in STEP format make it the only software you'll ever
need for lesson preparation or individual study.
If God blesses you with a few extra
dollars you can even expand the library with the latest modern translations and study commentaries
at very reasonable prices.
